I do not resent my parents for it

“My family is really important to me. I love them all equally. They are not perfect, but we believe that being disciplined and working hard is very important. We all respect and love one another. My father is the biggest influence in my life. He has taught me that life is hard, but you should never let that stop you from doing what you want to achieve. I have felt most alone when I was neglected. My parents came from very little so they have big expectations from me and my brothers. Even when I accomplish great things, it is never enough for my parents. They always expect more from me, so I am punished when I do not meet their expectations. However, I do not resent my parents for it because I know they are expecting the best out of me because they love me. I am proud to call them my family.”
